My name is Ronna and I am a 1st Grade Teacher at Keith Elementary School in Joliet, IL. I am fortunate to have the privilege to share my love of learning with my students.
I have taught for 15 years. During my 15 years of teaching, I have had the opportunity to work with students at the kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade levels.I have taught in Florida as well as in several districts within the state of Illinois.
I attended an all girl high school, and graduated from Southern Illinois University. I received my undergraduate degree in Paralegal Studies but decided to change my career direction. I attended Chicago State University and received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in 2002.
I live in Bolingbrook with my husband, also a Southern Illinois University graduate, and my dog. My 4 children are off discovering their own paths in life. I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and my 2 year old granddaughter.
My hobbies include watching television, taking advantage of our empty nest by traveling, community service and spending time with family and friends.
I have used technology in my classroom in the past, but the usage has been very minimal. Technology has been a challenge for me, however, I ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE of learning and becoming more technologically literate.
